Fees

Our fees

Because peace of mind also comes from clarity, here, in full transparency, are the fees for our psychoeducation services.

Fees

The fee for each meeting

Not every service charges every line: each service's own page states which ones apply.

Opening a file$30

A file-opening fee, payable to cover the initial call, the creation of the client file and holding a place in one of our psychoeducators’ schedules.

Assessment meeting$175

A 90-minute meeting to assess needs.

Follow-up meeting$120

A 50-minute meeting to work on the needs identified at the assessment.

Desensitisation session$180 + travel if required

An 80-minute session working on desensitisation to triggers, of which roughly 50 minutes is active desensitisation.

Full psychoeducational assessment$1,200
  • One observation at home or in the childcare setting, within a 30 km radius.
  • One teleconsultation with the parents or the client.
  • Interpretation of one clinical test.
  • Writing the report.
  • A virtual report handover, 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Additional fees may apply on more complex files.

Travel fee$50 / 30 min

Per 30 minutes of travel, one way only. We charge the outbound trip alone, which is why the figure looks higher; it covers the psychoeducator’s travel time and mileage.

Mandated files

SAAQ, CNESST and IVAC

Invoices for psychoeducation services on mandated files are sent directly to the relevant organisation (SAAQ, CNESST, IVAC). The client pays nothing for the services received, except the file-opening fee.

Receipts and insurance

An official receipt after every meeting

As members in good standing of the Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices du Québec (OPPQ), we provide an official receipt after every meeting. Psychoeducation services are recognised by most group insurance plans; we simply invite you to check the details of your coverage directly with your insurer.

Which of these apply to you?
