Thalassa Jean-Bouchard
M. Sc. · Psychoeducator and psychotherapy intern
A member of the Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices du Québec, I hold a master's degree in psychoeducation and I am currently working towards my psychotherapist's licence.
For more than 15 years I have worked with adults living with mental health difficulties, both in individual follow-up and in therapy groups. My path has taken me through adult mental health, crisis intervention, addiction and suicide prevention.
I have a particular interest in men's mental health, and I want to help make mental health services more accessible to them. I am also interested in facilitating therapy groups and in developing talks and training for organisations on psychological health at work, the prevention of psychosocial risks, and the obligations arising from the amendments to the Act respecting occupational health and safety (Bill 27).
I work from an integrative cognitive behavioural approach, enriched by principles drawn from mentalization-based therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, polyvagal theory and relational intelligence. My aim is to offer a human, genuine and non-judgemental space where each person can better understand what they are going through, build their capacity to adapt, and find a lasting balance.
