Nature-based intervention
Outdoor psychoeducation, in the Laurentides and online.
Nature-based intervention is an innovative approach to psychoeducation that recognises and uses the therapeutic benefits of the natural environment. The method draws on scientific research demonstrating that regular contact with nature significantly improves mental and emotional health.
During sessions we explore natural spaces together while working on your therapeutic goals. Being outdoors offers a setting that encourages presence, lowers natural defences and allows a more genuine connection with yourself.
This approach is particularly helpful for people living with anxiety, post-traumatic stress, or simply for those looking to improve their general well-being in a setting different from traditional approaches.

What it brings
The benefits of psychoeducation in nature
The psychoeducator is the professional of the here and now. Unlike other approaches, our expertise works inside the reality of your daily life.
- Shared Lived Experience (Vécu Partagé): we accompany you, we model regulation strategies, and we live the stages of change alongside you.
- Reduced stress and anxiety through contact with nature.
- Improved mood and general well-being.
- A stronger mind-body connection.
- Natural coping strategies you can keep using.
- More presence and mindfulness.
- Support for emotional regulation.
- A calming setting that makes opening up and talking easier.
How it works
How a session unfolds
Before the session
We discuss your goals and choose together a natural setting that is accessible and suited to your needs. I give you recommendations on what to wear and what to bring.
During the session
We walk, or we settle into the setting we chose. The work is woven into the experience, combining observation, reflection and psychoeducational techniques specific to your needs.
After the session
We take a moment to integrate the experience and connect it to your daily life. I suggest ways to keep that connection with nature going between sessions.

Frequently asked
What people ask us most
Do I need to be physically fit?
No. Activities are adapted to your physical condition and your capacities. We choose accessible locations together, and activities that match your needs and your limits.
What happens in bad weather?
Adapting to the elements is part of the therapeutic process (resilience, acceptance). Sessions may go ahead, depending on why you are consulting and on your goals; how that works is settled in the first few sessions. In a severe storm or extreme cold, we can move the session online or postpone it to keep everyone safe.
What are the benefits of this approach?
Nature offers a calming setting that reduces stress and anxiety. It supports emotional regulation, improves mood and allows a deeper connection with yourself. Many studies demonstrate the benefits of contact with nature for mental health.
Is it effective for children with ADHD?
It is one of the most beneficial settings for them. Studies demonstrate that time spent in green space significantly reduces symptoms of inattention and hyperactivity. Nature offers calming stimuli that let the brain rest from urban cognitive fatigue.
Ready to try something that fits you better?
We will work on the goals we set together, in a natural setting, living it side by side.
