In-home parental coaching

Personalised support for parents of young children and teenagers who are struggling.

Together we work on strengthening parenting skills, fostering a positive family environment and supporting the child’s or teenager’s overall development.

Parental coaching in psychoeducation is not about telling you how to be a “good parent”. It is about giving you back confidence in your own ability to intervene.

What we offer

An ally at the centre of your daily life

  • Behaviour analysis. Understanding the why behind your child’s meltdowns, defiance or anxiety.
  • Strategies built for you. Practical tools suited to the reality of your home, rather than generic solutions.
  • Emotional support. A safe space to vent, and to ease the guilt or the exhaustion.
  • Family harmony. Restoring easy communication and a calmer climate between everyone at home.
  • The psychoeducational approach. Unlike traditional office-based therapy, we work in the here and now. Online or at home, we intervene directly in your environment so the changes last and can be applied immediately.

Why in your home

The advantages of psychoeducation at home

Working with our psychoeducators gives you a rigorous clinical eye paired with a hands-on, in-the-field approach.

  • Genuine observation. A child (and a parent) behaves differently in their own living room than in a clinical office. Being there lets us see the real dynamics, unfiltered.
  • Turnkey solutions. We do not just suggest a reward chart; we help you pick the best wall for it and adapt it to your actual space.
  • Less logistical stress. No more rushing to be on time, dealing with traffic, or finding a sitter for the other children. The clinic comes to you.
  • Gains that generalise immediately. Because the tools go in where the difficulties actually happen (at the table during meals, in the bedtime routine) the changes take hold far faster.
  • More trust. A child feels safe at home. That comfort makes them more willing to collaborate and eases the anxiety of meeting a professional.
  • Genuinely systemic work. It lets us account for the whole environment (noise, how the space is organised, siblings around) that shapes behaviour day to day.

Frequently asked

What people ask us most

How long does parental coaching last?

It depends on the needs of each family. This kind of follow-up can run from four or five meetings to more than ten, depending on what the parents need and how far they want to take it.

What brings people to parental coaching?

Feeling overwhelmed by what is happening at home; the sense that nothing you do is right; an atmosphere that is permanently tense; wanting a hand to intervene better with your children… The reasons are countless.

Do insurers reimburse these services?

Usually yes, but it depends on the plan. We suggest checking whether yours covers psychoeducation or “mental health professionals”. If your plan mentions only psychology, call them to clarify. We are not psychologists.

How should I prepare my home before your visit?

Do not tidy a thing. We want to see your daily life as it really is, so we can help properly. No judgement comes through the door with us.

Do I have to have an in-home meeting before moving online?

No. We recommend it where possible, but parental coaching can easily run entirely by teleconsultation.

Do you work with children online?

It depends on each psychoeducator’s approach. We do not recommend teleconsultation under the age of 10: attention and trust are harder to establish at a distance.
