Psychoeducational support in the child’s setting
In daycare or at school, where a child’s challenges show up differently than they do at home.
Because a child’s challenges do not stop at the front door, we offer support directly in their childcare or school setting. Our aim is to build a bridge between the family and the staff so that everyone intervenes consistently.
A child can behave very differently in a group. Our role is to analyse those differences and offer concrete avenues to the people with them every day.
What we do
A collaborative, immersive approach
Combined with observation in the setting, this support brings an outside view of the situation and an advisory role for the various people working with the child.
- 360° clinical observation. We come and observe the child in real situations (transitions, free play, group instructions) to identify the environmental triggers.
- An advisory role with educators and teachers. We are not there to judge anyone’s practice, but to collaborate. We share tools suited to the reality of a group ratio: visual strategies, use of space, calming techniques.
- A personalised intervention plan. We take part in case conferences and in drawing up intervention plans, so that the goals are realistic and measurable.
- Support with inclusion. For children with particular needs (ASD, ADHD, developmental delay), we make inclusion easier by equipping the setting itself.
What it brings
Two readings of the same situation
For the parent
- Understanding why it only goes badly at school or daycare.
- Making sure your child’s needs are being communicated properly.
- Bringing the approaches at home and in the setting into line with each other.
For the setting
- An outside, expert reading of a complex situation.
- Strategies you can actually apply without adding to the workload.
- Perceptions validated, and the trust with the parent reinforced.
Our work in the setting adapts to what you need: it can run on a regular basis, or serve as a starting point: an initial observation before the follow-up continues by teleconsultation.

Frequently asked
What people ask us most
How long does this kind of support last?
It depends on each child’s needs. This kind of follow-up can run from four or five meetings to more than ten, depending on what the parents, the child and the setting need.
Do insurers reimburse these services?
Usually yes, but it depends on the plan. We suggest checking whether yours covers psychoeducation or “mental health professionals”. If your plan mentions only psychology, call them to clarify. We are not psychologists.
Do I have to book an on-site observation before moving online?
For support inside the setting we strongly recommend the on-site observation period. After that, the rest of the follow-up can absolutely happen remotely.
We are not there to judge anyone
The observation happens during transitions, free play and group instructions. A single period often unlocks a situation that has been stuck for months.
