Anxiety management through psychoeducation

Taming your inner storms through concrete actions.

Anxiety does not have to define your daily life, or your child’s. Our individual psychoeducational approach is about turning worry into action.

How it works

An approach through action

The approach rests on three pillars.

  1. Psychological education

Learning how anxiety works biologically, so it stops feeling abnormal.

  2. Gradual exposure

Learning to face your fears in small concrete steps, changing one restrictive behaviour at a time, with the psychoeducator alongside.

  3. Self-regulation

Building coping and calm-down strategies (breathing, mindfulness, cognitive restructuring) suited to the person’s own temperament.

What it brings

What psychoeducational follow-up gives you

  • Concrete tools. You leave every session with one strategy to try the next day.
  • Adaptability. Follow-up can happen at home, where anxiety often strikes, or online for comfort.
  • A whole picture. We look beyond the anxiety itself, at the sleep, the routine and the environment that feed it.
  • Independence. The end goal is for you (or your child) to become your own expert in managing stress.

Frequently asked

What people ask us most

Do you work with young children who have separation anxiety?

Absolutely. With little ones the work often goes through play and direct parental involvement, to build a reassuring safety net around the child.

Do you do cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)?

We use CBT principles (the link between thoughts, emotions and behaviour) and add the in-the-field dimension particular to psychoeducation, applying those concepts in your own environment.

Can anxiety disappear completely?

The goal is not to remove anxiety (it is a useful emotion) but to reduce its intensity so it stops interfering with daily life.

The goal is not to remove it

Anxiety is a useful emotion. The work is to reduce its intensity, until it stops interfering with daily life.
